Ladies of Purpose

A Call To Purpose

Today, I'd like to provide enlightenment to all women of God who carry such heavy loads as you minister daily to the needs of others. You have a special calling on your lives, which many, more often than not, take for granted. All of us want to do what pleases God. We want to do the will of God. We want to make an impact in this world that will leave a lasting impression, a legacy for years to come. But many of us need to understand what that truly entails. Find out more inside...

...Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. -II Peter 1:10
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. -Matthew 16:24
God expects all of us to lay aside what we want, and pick up what He desires for us. We can have so much of our own agenda, and not have God's agenda. Dying to self daily can be a hard thing to do, but in order to go to the next level in Him, we have got to surrender it all. In the process of doing so, we may find ourselves on a lonely road. People and things that once vied for our attention will leave us. However, we are not alone (Hebrews 13:5).
Our ministries can have us in places where we feel we must do this or we must do that in order to fit in. But we must not get into competition when it comes to the things of God. For it is then when we really show the insecurities that we don't want to admit we sometimes have. This is when we should get to ourselves and allow Him to show us the sides of insecurity that we feel during those times when everyone else sees the call of God on our lives, but we still have to try to maintain or compete with ourselves or others to show 'who we really are'. The insecurity of not having this type of ministry or that one, doing all we can in light of what others think or say, all in the name of ministry. When we do that, we take off our spirit man and put on flesh because we are now acting on our emotions and not allowing the spirit to do what He does best.
Regardless of where we are, God is there directing, leading and guiding, but we must 'see' Him and not ourselves. Our callings must be sure; we must be secure in knowing that if God called us, there must be something on the inside of us, already equipped, to handle what He has assigned for us. And when we don't know how to handle it, He does. Do what He has called you to do. Everyone's assignment is different but it's all for ONE PURPOSE: Saving the Souls of Humanity.
