Ladies of Purpose

There may have been many times in life when you have been shunned, pushed aside, abandoned, abused, told you would never be anybody, the last one to be called upon, and made to feel like God has not called you. But do you know that it is often people who have gone through those instances that God has favored the most? There are many examples in the Bible where God took those that were the least of them, and made them prominent in the land. He can take what's next to nothing and make something great out of it. He can take what's unpopular, and make a spectacle of it, all for His glory. He can even take the impossible that has happened in your life, the very thing that everyone feels will never come to pass, and cause it to happen in a second, bringing you from the backdrop to the forefront. Why? Because God is the God of the Possible. Read more inside...
Today, I'd like to provide enlightenment to all women of God who carry such heavy loads as you minister daily to the needs of others. You have a special calling on your lives, which many, more often than not, take for granted. All of us want to do what pleases God. We want to do the will of God. We want to make an impact in this world that will leave a lasting impression, a legacy for years to come. But many of us need to understand what that truly entails. Find out more inside...
There's a certain perception one should get as they look upon the word, 'afterward' in the above scripture. The Hebrew word for 'afterward' is ´achar which means: after the following part, or behind. It suggests that 'after or behind' the pouring out of His Spirit, He said, ' sons and daughters will prophesy, old men will dream dreams and young men will see visions.' If you notice, this was not just for that time period. But it's for NOW! He also said in verse 29, that He would show signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. Find out more inside...
What does it mean to be a child of God? According to God's Word, we are one with Him. We are Abraham's seed and an heir. That means we have a promised inheritance from God that is greater than anything we could receive from this world. It is an identity that can never be taken away. There are many in the Bible that had one name upon birth, but after getting a greater insight and a greater sense of purpose as to who God was in their lives, their names changed.Read more inside...
There is too much hate in the world to not want to exude the love of Christ to others. Murder, racism, kidnapping, money laundering, and even the neglect and abuse many have given to their children, have shown that the enemy has had the upper hand over people for quite some time. Even our dealings with people-on our jobs, in the grocery store, and on the road has shown people's true nature-one that is full of flesh and less of the power of God to heal. Read more inside...
There are occasions in our lives in which we feel we accomplish so much by getting accolades, promotions, and degrees for our self-assurance that what we "have" will sustain us and give us a sense of security. The word, INDEPENDENT, tells us that we can have it all and not depend on anyone to obtain it. However, if we know the God we serve, we will also know that the achievements that we obtained didn't just rest upon what we thought we could do on our own accord. Read more inside...
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.-John 14:12 (emphasis mine)
Much of our lives is spent wondering, "What am I purposed to do on this earth?" We try our hands at different things, based on the skills we have, the talents and abilities we possess, and if they would truly fulfill us, to create the feeling that-what we do really matters to others. But have we ever stopped to consider what Jesus would have us to do? Read more inside...
Even though it may seem that you may be traveling aimlessly in this world, God does have a plan for you. Romans 8:28 is a message of hope. It declares that the future may appear to be obscure at times, but we must remain true to God's purpose. If we remain true, we will eventually reach our intended destination, our expected end. In other words, we might not be able to control what happens to us, but we must endeavor to have enough faith to know that all things are working together for our good and never break continuity with God's purpose for our lives. We have been given the ability to predict our outcome and not allow difficult circumstances to cause us to deviate from our purpose. Read more inside...
Many times in our lives, we carry on with many different tasks that must be fulfilled. We check them off as we complete them, and feel settled that we accomplished so much in one day. Only to find that tomorrow brings yet another set of tasks that we must begin in the hopes that we will fully carry out. For many people, that is just 'being busy'. Yet, those things are always centered on ourselves and our own agendas, when really; we were not created for ourselves, for we were bought with a price. Read more inside...
