The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow!
by Dr. Geraldine H. McInnis
The night season is a rough season. It is packaged with uncomfortable, unbelievable and almost unforgettable situations in life. The night season has a way of easing into the closure of a day season of your life. Night is listed as the time from dusk to dawn when no sunlight is visible.
Most of the time, a night season is not a welcomed period. Activities slow down, the body gets tired, darkness replaces the light and the feelings of loneliness start to creep into one's atmosphere.
Too many uninvited visitors seem to come out and lurk during the night. From the distasteful rodents to the ungodly thieves. Children become more fearful during this dark period -- many times calling for their mommies or hiding under their covers in fear because of the unknown. Most hurricanes, tornadoes and storms unroll scrolls of darkness over one's life with spiraling winds, electrifying lightning and the uncontrollable outpouring of gushing rains.
Even though, we cannot escape the night, we can always build hope in our hearts. For the Bible tells us in Psalm 30:5 that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.
"Dear Heavenly Father - Thank You for this dear person who is facing travesty and difficulties during this season of their journey. Wherever the pain and whatever the situation we ask that you divinely intervene and bring a release to those areas of darkness. You are the God of all comfort and peace. We hold fast to your Hand of love as You lead us by the quiet and refreshing streams of life."
