Wow! Where has all the time gone? I stand in total amazement at how fast this year has progressed. The adage, "Time waits for no one" certainly bears true. How has this year been for you? Have you seen God at work like never before? Are you still standing on His promises for this to be the Year of Manifestation, (if that's what He's spoken to you)? Read more inside...
If there were ever a season in which we need to be spiritually vigilant, it is now. As we observe the political, economic, and social paradigms of the world, especially with regard to our nation, we are living in a time in which a clear and strategic stance by the Body of Christ is necessary. There is an eminent and clarion shift in the earth as it pertains to the plans of the enemy to advance his agenda, and the church must be postured through unity to "watch, pray, and respond." PreachingWoman.com has been favored with the exclusive opportunity to celebrate and honor the ministry of Dr. Rita Womack (Dr. Womack). Find out more about her inside...

God is a giver and we, like Him, should be givers as well. It's not about what we can get but what God gives. It is written: "for freely have you received so freely give" (Matthew 10:8). Happy New Year! I pray that this year will be as much of a blessing for you as you can possibly stand. Last year, I stood firm on the affirmation, "It shall be well in 2012." I did so after embracing the fact that the number 12 represents order. As such, I took it personally and seriously that God would use the year 2012 to place the vital matters of my life in their rightful order. While I am still very much a work in progress, I am grateful for things lining up as well as they did in 2012. Read more inside...

Did you keep and meet all of the goals and declarations you made last year this time? Well if you did, congratulations! If you did not, no worries, we have a word of encouragement just for you. Preachers determine the meaning of scripture so that they can convey that meaning to the congregation in the preaching moment. Preachers go to considerable lengths to make sure that they preach the truth and not error. They study the passage within the context of the chapter, book, and even the whole cannon of scripture. In many cases, the preacher derives valid and truthful points from the text and then present those vital truths to the people. This is good, but often when you take the points from the story, you remove the ability of the people to fully experience the truth that you are presenting. But before the people can experience the text, we have to both understand and experience the text ourselves. Read more inside...

This scripture has always perplexed me when Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father (John 14:8-14). Jesus responded by saying: "Have I been so long time with you, and yet you have not known me Philip?" What was Jesus saying to Philip? He was saying that you've been with me all this time, seen miracles, the sick healed, ate with me, lived with me, seen demons cast out, and witnessed my character…and you still don't realize that I and my Father are one?
