Rev. Stefanie R. Minatee

Rev. Stefanie R. Minatee, Artistic Director for Jubilation Inc, and Associate Minister of the Community Baptist Church of Englewood, NJ, (Rev. Dr. Lester W. Taylor, Jr., Pastor) is a native of Newark, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Pearl Tucker Minatee, and the late Steven E. Minatee.

Rev. Stefanie R. Minatee, Artistic Director for Jubilation Inc, and Associate Minister of the Community Baptist Church of Englewood, NJ, (Rev. Dr. Lester W. Taylor, Jr., Pastor) is a native of Newark, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Pearl Tucker Minatee, and the late Steven E. Minatee.


Rev. Minatee was educated in the Newark Public School System, graduating from its prestigious Arts High School. She acknowledged her call into the ministry in 1987, and was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, December 11, 1987 by the First Baptist Church of Nutley, NJ. (the late Rev. Lawrence C. Roberts, Pastor Emeritus) Rev. Minatee was ordained November 10, 2002, at the New Light Baptist Church, Bloomfield, NJ. (Rev. William C. Hall, Pastor Emeritus)  She holds a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Drew University, in Madison, NJ.


Rev. Minatee entered the Doctor of Ministry Program at United Theological Seminary in Dayton Ohio, in September 2010. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kean University, Union, NJ in the area of Music Performance, and certification in Music Education.


Rev. Minatee currently teaches Vocal Music at two locations, Plainfield High School, and the Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies, Plainfield, NJ. September 2010 marked her 28th year as an educator.


Rev. Minatee enjoys facilitating workshops, retreats, and seminars for Christian growth and renewal. She has a special affection for teens, and the senior saints.


Rev. Minatee is a proud and voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. (NARAS). Members of NARAS nominate and vote for the GRAMMY Awards. She is a sought after vocal coach and vocal arranger, authoring and cataloguing more than 100 songs. Her compositions have been selected and performed by several choirs including the Alumni Choir of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, the late Thomas A. Dorsey, Founder. 


Rev. Minatee is the recipient of numerous awards including 2010 proclamations from Mayor Cory Booker of Newark, the New Jersey State Assembly, and the City of Newark's prestigious "medal of honor."


A great joy is spreading the Gospel with her music ministry "Jubilation". Their latest release, "The Launch Out Project" is available nationwide, and secured a nomination for the 2009 Stellar Awards. Jubilation has just recorded a new CD, set for release in 2011. (www.justjubilation.com) The great musical aggregation also enjoys a 2010 GRAMMY Award for participation on the compilation CD "Oh Happy Day".


Rev. Minatee along with members of Jubilation recently performed at Super Bowl 44 in Miami, Florida, providing back for Queen Latifah, and appeared on "American Idol Gives Back" with famed guitarist Jeff Beck and singer Joss Stone in April 2010.  


Rev. Minatee has been blessed to work and record with several renowned sacred and secular music artists, too numerous to name.


Rev. Minatee remains steadfast, relying on the strong qualities modeled and instilled in her by her family. She is greatly influenced by her maternal grandmother "the late Hattie Mollie Tucker" her mother "Pearl Tucker Minatee" and her uncle "the late Assemblyman and longest serving Newark City Councilman, Donald K. Tucker". Rev. Minatee thanks GOD for EVERY opportunity, and lives by the motto "Only What You Do For Christ Will Last". Her favorite slogan, coined by Dr. Bill Cosby is "As you push forward, pull from behind", and Romans 8:28 is her favorite scripture. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
