Happy Thanksgiving 2009!
November 1, 2009By

Happy ThanksgivingHappy Thanksgiving!
Written by Evg. Nichelle L. Early

Well, it's that time again...Thanksgiving! It seems like I can already smell the cakes and pies, fried turkey and dressing, collard greens, mac-a-roni and cheese, and more.  Homes across the nation will be filled with these foods and more coupled with the laughter and joy of family and friends celebrating and making confessions of Thanksgiving!

Like Christmas, I believe that Thanksgiving is one of those days that we should celebrate year around.  The Bible declares in I Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." We should always be thankful unto the Lord for the many blessings that God consistently bestows upon us.  His faithfulness is immeasureable.  Even when we are unfaithful to Him, He's faithful to us.

So, whether you have a big dinner or not, remember to truly be thankful.  Also, let's remember those that are less fortunate than us.  Truly, all of the blessing that God has blessed us with are not just for us, but they are for us to also share with others so that they may know the love and grace of God.

So, as we celebrate this year, remember to go around the table and provide an opportunity for everyone to make a Thanksgiving confession unto the Lord.  For truly He is the reason for our priviledge to celebrate Thanksgiving!

In closing, here's a poem by Mary Fairchild that is dear to my heart and I would like to share it with you. Maybe you will consider sharing it with someone else!

Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You've done
Especially for the gift of
Jesus, Your Son.

For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.

We are living in a dispensation of time where we are seeing all kinds of things take place. It is so inevitably evident that Jesus is on His way back. In one way or another we've all been impacted by the economic woes of this country; marriages have been attacked; ministries have taken major blows; some of us have lost loved ones suddenly or unexpectedly. Many of you have been attacked on your job, or maybe you've even lost your job. There has just been all kinds of natural disasters, evil acts of man, and kinds of diseases happening as we speak. And, these things have impacted some of us so strongly that it has caused many to be confronted with the question of "what in the world is going on?" Read more inside...
Thursday, May 6, 2010 is the National Day of Prayer! I am very excited about this day, because for those of us that will make the time to observe this day set aside by our government, it provides a time where many can be in agreement for God's will to be done on earth and spefically in our country. Created in 1952, this day provides an opportunity for us to exercise our religious liberty particular to pray.
Many of you in your own right have thriving ministries, engaging jobs, progressive churches, businesses, and families; all of which requires you to flow in a specific essence and anointing necessary for these endeavors to be successful. However, often times, the people on the outside don't recognize the sacrifice you to make in order to do all you do, especially when it comes to serving the people of God. They don't see the long hours of study, preparation, and work that is necessary to do what you do and be who you are in Christ Jesus. All they know is that you are anointed and they are attracted to who God is and what He does in and through you. Find out inside, what God has to say about this!
