It's Okay to Still Away!

Many of you in your own right have thriving ministries, engaging jobs, progressive churches, businesses, and families; all of which requires you to flow in a specific essence and anointing necessary for these endeavors to be successful. However, often times, the people on the outside don't recognize the sacrifice you to make in order to do all you do, especially when it comes to serving the people of God. They don't see the long hours of study, preparation, and work that is necessary to do what you do and be who you are in Christ Jesus. All they know is that you are anointed and they are attracted to who God is and what He does in and through you. Find out inside, what God has to say about this!

Many of you in your own right have thriving ministries, engaging jobs, progressive churches, businesses, and families; all of which requires you to flow in a specific essence and anointing necessary for these endeavors to be successful. However, often times, the people on the outside don't recognize the sacrifice you to make in order to do all you do, especially when it comes to serving the people of God. They don't see the long hours of study, preparation, and work that is necessary to do what you do and be who you are in Christ Jesus. All they know is that you are anointed and they are attracted to who God is and what He does in and through you. And because you love God and his people, you constantly push yourself to keep going and to do all that God has called you too. You consistently forge forward to meet the expectations of God's people, sometimes feeling the pressure to try to top that last thing you did. But God want you know that it's okay to still away!
Matthew 14:21-23 says:
21And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
22And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
I want to share these three points of encouragement with you so that you will know, it's really okay to still away!
1.) For what God has called you to, you have to get your rest…you can't afford to get burned out at this juncture of the journey. Therefore, take some time and get alone to yourself to reacquaint yourself with the real you. Do something you enjoy, just for you for a change.
2.) Read Psalm 139: 5 - Allow God to lay His hands upon you and restore you for service. He desires to rejuvenate and empower you. He can only do this if you take some time and still away in His presence.
3.) When you still away, listen for God's instructions. He will Give you instructions regarding provisions for the vision, finances, resources, strength, but you have to still away to hear the voice of God! So, take some time and still away.
Conclusion
Know that this is a season wherein if you do not take the time to still away into the presence of the Lord…the enemy will try to make you weary in well doing…It's imperative that you take some time and still away as unto the Lord.
