Malachi 3:10 (NLT)
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do, says the Lord Almighty, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Let me prove it to you!

Why is it easier to give of every thing but our money? Tithing is a very important part of worship. Giving is showing thankfulness to God for what we have been blessed with. The Bible tells us that ten percent of our income should be set aside for tithes. We should give the first fruits of the Spirit, actually give to God first and not what is left over.

In present day, money is tight. Everyone's managing their money more wisely and sticking to stricter budgets to make ends meet. The dollar just doesn't stretch far enough. But...how much to we actually spend on ourselves as compared to what we give to God? If we would sit down and assess our finances, what we give to God fails in comparison.

How much money do we actually waste in a period of one month? A dollar here, a twenty there? It all adds up, splurges on non-essential items. So again, why is it so hard to give tithes? Sorry to say, but we are selfish. We want and want. We love to give as long as it doesn't put a damper on our "me money."
God has truly blessed us beyond measure. We should never hesitate to give Him our tithes. Be consistent. God will provide the increase. Malachi states that God will send a blessing too big to contain for those who tithe, but woe to those who rob God of His tithes, for a curse will follow. Remember that the word of God is true and doesn't lie. Do not ever cheat God!
