Timing Is Everything!

Elder Sundra Ryce is an astonishing example of a preaching woman who has taken full advantage of maximizing God’s timing. Occupying both pulpit and marketplace, Sundra is charting a course towards the infinite possibilities of capitalizing on her opportunity to advance the Kingdom.

As ordained minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whose life and prayer is to “Grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” all of the days of her life (Luke 2:52), God has entrusted Sundra with a sincere passion and purpose to empower others to achieve, thrive and to reach their full potential in life.  Understanding that mandate, Sundra knows that it is by the principles of  obedience to God and His timing that she has been able to accomplish her own goals and dreams in order to be a veritable representation of the purpose God has give her.

Extending beyond the walls of the church into the marketplace, Sundra is the 32-year-old founder of SLR Contracting & Service Company, Inc., a general construction and industrial management firm headquartered in Buffalo, New York.  Since its’ inception the firm has grossed over $60 million in sales with 26 employees split between offices in Buffalo and Albany.  In 2006, SLR Contracting was named one of America’s fastest growing privately held firms by Inc. Magazine. The company’s motto is “Building in Excellence.” Ryce is prayerfully considering future plans to open additional locations in Washington, D.C., and other cities within five years.

Although Sundra has encountered many adversities and trials, she has continued to persevere accepting the principle behind her favorite motivational quote, “What would you attempt to do if you knew that you could not fail?” (author unknown).

When asked by PreachingWoman.com, “How do you balance both ministry and entrepreneurship?” Here is what she had to say.

“I seek the counsel of God pertaining to the administration of my ministry and my corporation…by doing so, He has given me numerous strategies of success, leadership, and advancement both in ministry and the marketplace.”

Birthed out of those strategies, to tout a few endeavors, Sundra is currently working on a new business model, Sundra Ryce, Inc., a powerful motivational speaking venue in which she will perform key note speaking engagements and motivational workshops to empower others to realize their full potential and to actualize the promises of God. Recently, Sundra has been appointed, by the New York state Health Commissioner to serve as a trustee for the future combined Erie County Medical Center and Kaleida Health Systems board. Additionally, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Buffalo State College Foundation, Buffalo Public Schools Foundation and the Univera Healthcare Regional Advisory Board.  She is also a Trustee of the Western New York Public Broadcast Association (WNED).
